The Associated Press reports that YouTube is expanding by going beyond the United States and creating local sites for Brazil, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, netherlands, Poland, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
The site will be translated into the native languages of each country, when necessary, and allow YouTube to highlight videos that appeal to their respective audiences.
“We really feel like we are going to be providing a better product around the world,” YouTube Chief Executive Chad Hurley said.
