Yahoo! has announced its intentions to simplify and enhance users’ Internet experiences, and has launched a global brand campaign to try to achieve that.
Launching next Monday (September 28) in the US and then in subsequent months across the UK, India, France, Brazil, Canada, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Korea, and Taiwan, Yahoo! wants to stick itself at the centre of people’s online lives.
“This is much more than an advertising campaign,†said executive vice president/CMO, Elisa Steele. “It’s about how Yahoo! delivers its promise to the market in everything we do. Our brand strategy shows our commitment to delivering personally relevant online experiences.â€
“Our vision is to be at the centre of people’s online lives—to be at the place where their world meets the larger world,†she continued. “Our new branding will focus on people—the power and promise of ‘you.’â€
Yahoo! has already updated its webmail service and introduced a new look home page, and there are ongoing enhancements to Yahoo! News and the Yahoo! mobile homepage.
