I don’t know about you, but you may be getting rather tired of the “responsive” hype. Every where you look, people seem to be talking about responsive design and how web site owners should follow its principles.
Tiring it may be, there is a reason – lots of reasons, actually – that people continue to talk about responsive design. Now, you may not be a professional designer or coder, but you certainly can harness the power of responsive design, thanks to ready-made themes. Whether you decide to shell out money for a premium theme or not, there is a large range of selections available.
So, here are three good reasons you should consider responsive WP Themes.
Having a single mobile site is not enough.
It used to be that having a dedicated mobile site was enough. After all, smartphones were not all that different in the past. Mobile devices did not vary too much in terms of size. Today, however, you can find a smartphone or tablet in practically every size possible. How can you ensure that your site is displayed properly on all those devices? The best way is to use a responsive theme.
Two words: user experience
Given that your readers will be using a wide variety of devices to access your site, you want to make sure that they all – as much as possible – have a pleasant experience. To be honest, I cannot think of a good reason to NOT go for a responsive theme. There could be the “problem” of cost, as some of the best themes out there are premium themes. Then again, just because a theme is free doesn’t mean it won’t do the job.
There is also the argument that you get what you pay for. If you find a responsive theme that costs 20, 30, 40, or even 50 bucks, think about the benefits in the long run. You can surely earn that back by providing your readers with the best possible user experience on any device they choose to use.
Responsive themes are not going anywhere for the moment, but ask yourself, where are you going with your blog? Are you making sure it’s competitive by providing your readers with an experience they will want to keep coming back to?
