Viddy is quietly but also surely dominating the social video segment of the market with its easy to use app. It is on its way to becoming the Instagram equivalent for videos. Alongside its growing number of endorsers and influx of investor money, Viddy recently announced a major new update for the Viddy app.
The new update features a lot of new changes and additions to Viddy. One of the new features is an option to choose the thumbnail cover art for the videos you’ve captured. This makes the video thumbnail more beautiful to look, providing the thumbnails with an Instagram-like look because of your chosen image in place of the dull first frame of the video (which was the default thumbnail before). The editing features of the Viddy has also been vastly improved. You can now use various mix and match effects and custom soundtracks directly on to the video. You can even get new music that can be downloaded. The additions are a great way of expanding the features of Viddy, which can transform it into a truly effective marketing tool.
The Viddy app is not the only thing that gets a makeover. The Viddy site has also been changed. First, Viddy has enabled Facebook Timeline integration, one of the first to do so. But the home site is also getting a lot of love. Through the Viddy site you can browse through the videos submitted by other Viddy users and from there comment, share or like the videos you’ve seen. The cleaned up interface makes this easy to do.
Even under the hood, Viddy gets some much needed improvements. Rendering times have been drastically improved and Viddy has promised that this is one area that they will constantly try to improve.
