imbee.com, the parent-approved social networking and blogging destination specifically designed for kids from ages 8 to 14, announced the launch of its second annual toy drive in cyberspace. Proceeds will go to the Toys For Tots Program developed by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve. The mission of the program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
In order to facilitate the toy drive online, imbee.com created a special holiday blog and then invited its growing community of kids and tweens to post their good wishes for this holiday season. For every child that makes a post, the tween social network will donate a new toy to the Toys for Tots program.
