If you’re a Nokia N97, N97 Mini and Nokia 5800 users, you’ll be glad to know that Nokia Messaging for Social Networks which is currently in beta has just added Twitter support. This is in addition to the service’s existing support for Facebook which was rolled out in September 2009.
So aside from letting you view, post, comment on message, share your location and status with your Facebook friends using a Nokia supported handsets, Nokia Messaging services now also allows you to post tweets, reply to DMs, and reTweet easily from the homescreen of your Nokia phones.
In addition, Nokia Messaging for Social Network has also enhanced its existing Facebook connectivity to include new features such as uploading of pictures and videos, viewing of upcoming events, birthdays and importing to device calendar, searching for friends and click-to-call/click-to-SMS/click-to-FB email.
To download this new feature as well as test out the Twitter client, just grab it from the Nokia Beta Labs. Remember only the three mentioned Nokia handsets support this new feature. But Nokia promised to support more devices in the future, probably depending on the outcome of this beta testing.
