Facebook has just  rolled out three new features related to Facebook Pages. The first being the previous “Become a fan” button now changed  to “Like” instead. This was announced a couple of weeks ago and it is only now that Facebook has finally activated the feature. Nothing biggie on the feature, although I’m pretty sure some users might not like this change.
The other new feature which Facebook just rolled out is the new community pages. This is different from the current Facebook pages commonly used mainly by brands organizations and other groups who are on to social media marketing. Community Pages are a new type of Facebook Page which are dedicated to a topic or experience owned collectively by a community connected to it.  Similar to the current Facebook pages for brands, public figures and organization, you can connect with other members of Community Pages whom you share similar interests and experiences. In other words Facebook Community Pages is a collection of knowledge shared by many Facebook users.
The last of the three new features is related to Facebook members’ profiles. Starting today, certain parts of your profile, such as city, hometown, education, work, likes and interest will not be linked to actual Facebook pages pertaining to those information. [Read more…]
