Giving focus on user/reader-driven contents, Splashpress Media has launched Blogosphere News, a social news site for anything related to blogging including new blog launches, blogging tips, blogging news, blogger events, software, widgets, how-tos, videos, and others.
The system is patterned to Digg wherein you can submit your posts, read other bloggers’ posts, and vote or bury it depending on its worthiness. Since this is new, starting bloggers have better chances to get recognized and build his/her online credibility.
To start the ball rolling, Blogosphere News would be running a contest for the next 3 months, where the member with the most voted stories related to new media/social media will win prizes.
The most popular member will get $100 via PayPal and a free BlogHoster software package worth $250. Second and third runner ups will get $50 each.
Note: Performancing is owned by Splashpress Media, the company behind 901am.com
