Senetor Stevens, who first achieved Internet infamy for referring to the Internet as “a series of tubes†is at it again. This time, Mr. Tubes is responsible for introducing a bill into the Senate in early January, which if passed would require any school or library currently receiving federal Internet subsidies to block access to all interactive websites, including social networking sites and possibly even blogs.
It is folks like Mr. Stevens that make me wonder about the merits of Democracy.
