RockYou launches an ad network that targets advertisers who would like to take advantage of Facebook’s market.
Known for its online photo slideshows and video widget creators, RockYou has become widely used in social networking sites such as MySpace, Friendster, and Facebook. Now, with Facebook getting ahead of the race with about 32 million users, RockYou hopes to monetize by putting up relevant ads on user-generated materials.
This new RockYou ad program has so far brought in a significant amount of income to the company as the ads get straight to users who are in an “active, decision-making phase.”
