“Respectance is establishing a new tradition for sharing memories of loved ones. Finally, there is an appropriate outlet for sharing emotions and memories of loved ones for all to appreciate, enjoy and contribute to. Within a couple of years, the creation of online tributes will become the new tradition because sharing the memories of loved ones and learning more about them after they leave us is a very powerful tool in bringing family and Richard Derks, co-founder of Respectance.

Bereavement is a very special case as bereaved people clearly have no control over what is posted about them and their next of kin are often deeply vulnerable in the midst of grief.
I think we need to be careful to distinguish between a site that is aimed at general social networking regarding feelings generated by the death and lives of public figures (such as ex-Presidents or famous rock stars), and a site looking to help individuals experiencing and trying to cope with their own very personal and painful grief.
In the UK, there are charities such as muchloved and missyou who help bereaved people preserve memories and to help with loss and healing and it certainly isn’t seen as a business model with proposed rolling out of premium services. I wait to be convinced that respectance can respectfully cross this divide.

I also have lost a loved one but this murder in the United States is also condoned and acceptable to our society. Even at the age of 5 my grand-daughters death was just another statistic and viewed as such to the many brewing companies and alcohol industries and yes to even our politicians. My research on why we let this continue throughout the United States is also on a web site that I myself made. My opinions are my own it is true but my opinions are also based on facts and the truth on why we let this continue not only in my own state but every state in this great nation. My site is if you would like to look at everything that I have found is.
