RealTravel, a travel blogging and travel guide site, has unveiled what it believes to be are 10 top American treasures to visit. This list was put together by RealTravel editors and newlywed bloggers Team Edwards and is described as “some less traveled destinations worth visiting include spots in Arizona, Tennessee and South Dakota.”
The list includes the following:
- Avenue of the Giants (Northwestern California)
- World’s Largest Fountain (Fountain Hills, Arizona)
- Custer State Park (Custer, South Dakota)
- Ruby Falls (Chattanooga, Tennessee)
- Badlands National Park (Southwestern South Dakota)
- The Enchanted Highway (Regent, North Dakota)
- James Pecan Farm (Brunswick, Missouri)
- Storybook Land (Aberdeen, South Dakota)
- Corn Palace (Mitchell, South Dakota)
- Whistle Stop Café (Juliette, Georgia)
RealTravel claims to be one of the more popular travel Web sites, citing its “Best of the Web” by Forbes and BusinessWeek in 2006 and Best Online Travel Community of the Year in 2007 by the Association of Travel Marketing Executives. It reportedly helps more than half a million people plan trips with advice from other travelers every month.
