A lot of people ask me about making money online. I wanted to layout a simple guide to making money online that allowed newbies to jump in and not feel afraid and guide them down a simple path.
Keep it simple. Use adsense and one to two affiliate programs. I personally have a hosting affiliate program that really rocks and so far has been successful. Mostly I enjoy the ‘suprise’ income from hosting affiliate programs. Adsense is king as well.
Affiliate programs aren’t for everyone however one way to get started with performance marketing as far as making money using a program that will fit your blog is through Jim Kukral’s Blogkits.
BlogKits is the world’s first true performance marketing network built just for bloggers! That means that we’ve created a simple, yet effective way for bloggers to generate revenue from their blogs that makes sense.
Give her a whirl. Jim’s a standup guy whose not shy about helping you if you need a hand.

David, can you give us some more insight about blogkits?
Their offer seems great, but the site is quite vague.
David Krug says
Yeah Blogkits basically acts as a middle man for some of these great companies. Instead of signing up for an affiliate network where you have to sort it out. Blogkits manages the nuts and bolts and helps match up advertisers to bloggers based on relevant performance. I only speak on my own understanding. Maybe JIm can chime in if Im wrong.
Jim Kukral says
Yes, David is right, and thanks for the write up David.
This page pretty much says it all about what we are and why it makes sense.

Our business model is simple…
Help 99% of 50-70 million low-traffic bloggers make a few extra bucks by giving them easy to implement tools and partnerships that lets them keep blogging, instead of trying to be an expert marketer.
We’re an alternative to things like Google Adsense. We believe that low-traffic blogs will never make more than a few pennies per day with Adsense, and argue that those bloggers are better served shooting for a CPA return on investment.
David says
But it only works if you can get people to buy or sign up for the advertised service. So it takes more follow through than a click… A great idea, but not perfect for all audiences.
One of my sites found its audience not very receptive to going that extra step…
Jim Kukral says
Nope, not for everyone, but we believe certainly a great option for low-traffic bloggers who make 1 penny a day from Adsense :)
