I got my iPad 2 and Samsung Galaxy Tab just a few weeks apart from each other. Being my first real hands-on experience with both iOS and Android, I got understandably app crazy. I downloaded a bunch of apps for both systems and also bought a number of paid apps. I quickly realized that despite the premium associated with buying an app, it does have its benefits – better support, additional features, and no annoying ads. Android users have envied iOS device owners for a number of things, and one of these is Instagram. The hugely popular photo sharing app has been available to iOS devices. Android users have been clamoring for an Android version of Instagram but development but it seemed like the guys behind instagram didn’t have an Android port as a priority so much so that Instagram clones have proliferated at the Android Market, one of them being Streamzoo. Research in Motion is working overtime to try and regain the ground it lost over the last few months with many corporate clients jumping ship to other smartphones. The company has announced that it will be releasing the newest version of their OS, Blackberry 10. The company plans to release 2,000 prototype phones, which will be given to select developers who will attend the Blackberry 10 Jam conference set for May this year in Orlando, Florida. [Read more…]

Location based social networking services like FourSquare are very huge right now, the same with messaging apps. Developing an app that will combine the two is practically inevitable. This is the kind of app that Wallit is. But this is not just a plain vanilla messaging app with geo-location features. Wallit has bigger objectives than that. [Read more…]
