Amazon is continually finding ways to improve its level of service and support for its commercial efforts. One of these new improvements is the company’s release of a new version of its App Store that will be made available to Android tablets and smartphones.
The new version of the App Store will include a Test Drive feature that was also first seen and implemented on the amazon.com site. The Test Drive feature allows a user to see for themselves how an app works and what its functions are even before they get to purchase the app and download it.
The new Test Drive feature is still in the beta stage, according to Amazon and will only be made available at this point for previously identified Android devices and apps.
Aside from the Test Drive feature, the new version of the App Store will also include software fixes for download apps over a 3G or 4G connection. Other stability enhancements to the store has also been included in the new version. Android users who already have the App Store installed in their devices will receive a notification about the new update very soon. Those who still don’t have the App Store yet can download the app through amazon.com.
