Yesterday I did a post while attempting to overcome my migraine. In my laziness I used a copyrighted image in fair use. Since this site doesn’t make money and is a personal investment of much of my time and passion.
Operating a website of a high octane nature can at times be testing. You get people that don’t understand trying to provide a free service can be difficult. Makes me appreciate folks all the more the same. Got me thinking about New media. Is new media just free media? Or can we really make a whole hearted profit at this? I never intended to rob this flickr user of his caputzah. I just haven’t found a clean way to credit flickr users most of the time. That’s why I tend to use Flickr images with broad encompassing Creative Commons Licenses or Stock Images. It’s less headache. Literally.
My apologies if I offended anyone or came across brash, or harsh.

And if you’d read my post instead of assuming I slammed you, which I didn’t, you’d know exactly how to use flickr images with credit.

I dont have the energy to deal with this fight. It’s this type of pointless nonsense I dont understand.
I made a mistake. Try taking 45 aleve in 3 days. See what the effects are to your brain.
I blacklisted your images because truthfully I will probably quit using flickr all together. Dont take so much offense.
I don’t want a fight either. And really, if you’re taking that much Aleve you should consider having a doctor diagnose and give you preventive migraine medication. Sometimes managing allergies is the answer. Now you have my mother advice for the day.
I don’t want a fight, but when you blacklist someone on Flickr the message Flickr gets is that the person you blacklisted has violated the TOS in some way, and they are adversely affected by that. As someone who values community on and offline, that stings harder than just about anything you could have done.
Now, this is your blog and you’re entitled to write whatever you want and do it in whatever way you want. I have appreciated your content in the past and really thought that mentioning giving photo credit would result in you saying “mea culpa, my bad, of course I’ll give credit”, ending the discussion and turning it back to a wishlist for blogging tools.
I wasn’t suggesting that Trey wanted money or anything else, so I’m going to assume that you are still fighting your way through this migraine and are hostile about things because of that. Anything else makes no sense, because in the larger scheme of things, the good you do with your blog, it seems to me that you are someone who plays by the rules.

I didnt blacklist you on flickr. I just used the term to mean i wouldnt be including people who use copyright images in 901am.
