NBC is allegedly pulling out its official channel on YouTube in preparation for the public launch of its video-sharing site, Hulu. However, both companies are quite silent about this ongoing transition.
Hulu is currently in beta phase but will open to public within this month. Its distribution network includes big players like Yahoo!, MSN, MySpace, and AOL.
It’s not a surprising move especially when you’re positioning your new video-sharing network as a “YouTube killerâ€. On the other hand, NBC might want to try the business model by NO GOOD TV to get more than 100 million clip views in just 6 months.
Still, others believe this was just a technical glitch and the partnership that started last year remains strong.
