At times its a bit mind blowing to come up with creative ideas for blog posts. I have a book of ideas that I keep close by to come up with killer ideas for award winning posts. I spent the last 3 days in New York City largely the joy of not blogging was huge inspiration to get back on the saddle and continue again. Last night I was on the train heading out of New York and returning to the wild woods of Eastern Pennsylvania. I was intrigued by a book a friend had given me to read entitled Ishmael.
6+ Years ago I came to blogging as a way to express my spiritual journey. Lately I’ve revisted this process in different ways through social outreach, and finding new ways to interact. This book Ishmael shakes all fundamental systems of belief, systems, human ecosystems and forces you to reconsider Man’s basic purpose in life.
Late last night walking home from the train station I asked myself Why Do I Blog?, largely because I love to interact with people, and the basic desire for tribal interaction.
Who Are We?
As a nation, as a people we have lost our identity as a result of some grand identity theft. Daily while our government, our banks preach to us about stolen identities we face the real case of stolen identities the loss of community interaction. As a whole I see humanity losing touch with its identity as a human race and as a community. Bliogging creates interaction and a new tribal community that allows us to embrace a new identity outside of what we have been participating. It breaks down international barriers and borders that had limited us. Many barriers for communication don’t exist online, and while we are still limited by language barriers blogging could change much of our social engagement as our base of human interaction changes over the course of the next 50 years. With the broken walls of interaction come a change in how humans govern themselves.
I continue to be inspired to blog because it creates a unique way of breaking down the walls of our old world, and striving towards interacting to build community and change the way we report news, share life stories, and pass on history.
What makes you blog?

For different reasons on each of my blogs. On my personal blog, just to throw out random thoughts, share photos, and archive thoughts. On my topical blogs (WordPress themes and Beer), to both share what I know about the topic and also to force myself to learn more about it. With all of these I like the interaction and especially the global nature.

Thanks for sharing Chris. Interaction is so key to the blogosphere. It just makes it fun.

I blog for the networking benefits and to get my name out as a web developer. It’s also a great way for me to share my thoughts and get others opinions. Like Chris said, the interaction is the best part.

Matt Bob,
You have a huge headstart on most people your age which is just killer. I can’t imagine if I had started a blog when I was 18 or 19 and continued it until now.
Holy Crap I’d be Bill Gates or something.

I heard blogging was a great way to meet women.
I have met a lot of fantastic people. My wife is not so keen on the idea of me meeting women.
David Krug says
Ok Roy,
I’ve picked myself up from the floor. Meeting women on blogs is about like meeting them in a shopping mall. There’s a wide selection but in the end they all hate what you buy. Anyhow.
