This just in: The first commercial for the Joost service.
It says nothing of course, but it’s good that it’s out because that means that the now closed beta really is in its final stages like the Joost folks are telling us. Sweet.

Well, commercials are commercials. In this case, though, I really think there is no over-stating the importance of Joost.
If you know much about how these services get into the home (via what Shelly Palmer calls “over the top” delivery) then you know it is competing directly with cable on cable’s own wires. This should be great for the consumer — bringing tons of new, innovative services.
