Realizing the power and penchant of the average citizens to gossips and other newsworthy topics, CNN will be launching a new video-sharing site called iReport.com as the hub of user-generated news.
Though the site is still under construction, Reuters claims it has the same look and feel of YouTube and other popular video-sharing sites. Users can easily upload audio clips, photos, and videos.
iReport.com is very different to the ever stringent CNN because users are allowed to submit whatever topic they have in mind. Currently, CNN holds more than 100,000 news-related videos and photos from citizen journalists but less than 10% were published on the site. With this new portal, the community and not the editors will decide what the news is. Still, CNN will monitor and remove contents considered offensive or inappropriate.
But, CNN will make extra effort to clear that news shown in iReport.com do not reflect its editorial views.

I was In my livingroom,in front of the television, alone with my husband, watching the election returns. When the announcement came on that Barrack Obama had won I began to weep. I saw the emotion of the crowd. I saw the emotion of the african-american crowd. I looked at Obama and for the first time thought,’oh yes, he is African-american.’ In a micro-second I remembered going to school in the deep south in the 60’s and early 70’s. I remembered Martin Luther Kings speech when He said that he had a dream that someday African-americans would be judged by the content of their character and not by their skin color. After a lot of pain and struggle, I realized that this is the day. Gracefully standing through adversity and lies, he was judged on the content of his character. What a day!

i am very concerned about what might happen after Mr. Oboma takes office next month. You know there are a lot of terroist in this country who would love to distroy him because of his color. Did you also know it has been twenty years since JFK was shoot . I am glad that he won the election and hope he does good for this country but I know that it’s not going to be easy for him. like he said take it one step at a time.deal with one thing at a time He has a good team of people to help him to get to job done.oh and about the cayle anthony I just wonder who really did kill her. just maybe the police might have had something to do with it being as they did find her the first time the meter reader called them and had to keep calling back again until they finally found the bound.. seem so me they bouched the whole thing up. Poor old Cassey. what hell she is going through over al this. The girl just might end up in a nut house.
