With so many Web applications developed for iPhone, Apple has decided to compile more than 200 apps together in its own online directory. However, Steve Jobs decided to support only those applications running in iPhone’s Safari browser and not on its operating system.
There are currently 11 categories to choose from including entertainment, games, search tools, news, productivity, social networking, sports, travel, utilities, weather, and apps for calculations.
Moreover, iPhone users can browse these Web apps in alphabetical order, most popular, most recent, or staff pick. Some of the favorite apps include Facebook, TypePad for iPhone, WeatherBug, Digg iPhone Application, and Fandango.
