Web Worker Daily have a great post up on how to manage your e-mail. They’re focusing primarily on Gmail but most of the tips are quite possible in other mail apps, on or offline, as well. Check it out!
Personally, I have another take on it, although the basic concept is the same. Since double posting sucks I’ll just link you to my previous blog post on the subject.

Geesh .. only 100-200 emails per day? That’s it? :) I get almost 850 emails per day now, with comment moderations and spam killer notices and comment subscription notices. I have a better solution..
Last summer I went away to the cottage for just 1 week (when I was getting 474 emails/day) and I posted a message on my blog that said: I have a lot of emails to go through .. if I don’t reply back by Tuesday .. just contact me instead.
I ended up just moving ALL of the emails to a newly created email folder called “Vacation-Didnt Read At All” .. That’s right – didn’t look at any of them! Haha SHhhhhh!
There was only a few people that emailed be back, but suprisingly nobody really missed me from not responding – except the spammers. And, although that sounds bad .. I learned that if you warn people that you are going in advance anyway .. (blog and phone message) then the people that need to be in touch with will find you after the find you anyway. I mean, if they email you and know your phone number – they should have phoned and receive the message. If they don’t know my phone number and am emailing me .. they should be reading my blogs!
anyway were sending me the new emails once they saw activity on my blogs.
