Blogger’s block is simply when you hit a point during the week (or month, or whenever) when you just can’t come up with things to say or ideas to write about.
Here are some ways to try and snap out of it:
- Try reading other people’s blogs. If you’ve already gone through all your favorite ones, try out some new ones. Try StumbleUpon (you might be surprised).
- Look at photos. Surf Flickr. Pictures can jog your memory and help develop ideas in your head.
- Read the news. There’s always stuff going on. Maybe you will find an interesting parallel to write about.
- If all else fails, just spend some time away from writing. Take a break, you probably need it (and deserve it).
There are a lot more ways to beat blogger’s block. If you come up with something new that helps you get over it, think of what a good blog topic your experience would be! Who knows, you may even help someone out there who is struggling with blogger’s block!

I think I suffer from the opposite: There’s just too many things to write about and topics to explore!
