Phillip Anastos, son of New York TV legend Ernie Anastos, has launched a unique Internet television channel. Fast-paced, insightful and witty, HotNewz.TV delivers news and information specifically designed for 18 to 26 year-olds.
From a quick overview of the day’s need-to-know headlines, to what’s happening in entertainment, music, technology and sports, HotNewz.TV delivers the kind of news young adults can really use. They’ll also get valuable advice on issues that affect them personally, for example, relationships, money matters and career planning.
HotNewz.TV spotlights news segments produced by students at colleges across the country, as well as around the world, including Beijing, Paris and Melbourne. Working with the channel’s staff of Emmy Award-winning TV news veterans, these student journalists are getting unprecedented feedback and resume-building experience. In addition, they’re eligible for award recognition and scholarships.
Through its partnership with The University Network (TUN), a leader in campus communications, HotNewz.TV is already reaching 30% of U.S. college students. TUN carries HotNewz.TV on its large LCD screens in high-traffic campus locations at more than 250 colleges and universities nationwide.
HotNewz.TV is produced by Anastos Interactive Media (AIM), an innovator in media development. AIM is led by CEO Phillip Anastos. Multi Emmy Award-winning news anchor Ernie Anastos serves on the Board of Directors. Alan J. Weiss, another multi Emmy Award winner for TV news and documentaries, is president and head of programming at AIM.
