Mobile games publisher Glu Mobile Inc. revealed its North American lineup of games for the first quarter of 2009, reinforcing the company’s publishing strategy that emphasizes cross-platform global game launches.
The announcement reflects several months of internal resource realignment to incorporate new mobile platforms from Apple, the Open Handset Alliance and Nokia into its existing massive global network of J2ME and BREW handsets.
Glu, which currently supports more than 1,000 devices in more than 10 languages and 65 countries worldwide, has reallocated approximately 30 percent of development resources to reflect the emergence of new platforms introduced by Apple, Nokia and the Open Handset Alliance, while continuing its strong support for Windows Mobile, Blackberry, J2ME and BREW devices. Glu’s development approach, which utilizes years of technological intelligence and internal infrastructure, gives Glu the unique ability to execute launches across all platforms and devices.
