Getty Images and Lionsgate teamed up to make Lionsgate film scores and soundtracks available for commercial licensing through Getty Images’ music licensing business. The first offering will be the Academy Award-nominated score from Lionsgate’s critically acclaimed box office hit, “3:10 to Yuma.†The score was composed by first-time Oscar-nominee Marco Beltrami, a composer known for his unique approaches to recording.
As part of Getty Images’ initiative to offer an expanded online musical platform for a broad range of commercial uses, popular artists and titles will soon be added to its impressive alternative music collection. Additional musical content from Lionsgate that will soon be available for licensing includes scores from Lionsgate’s critically acclaimed television drama “Mad Men†on AMC; the hit television comedy series “Weeds†on Showtime, which features an eclectic mix of pop icons covering the classic “Little Boxes†for the opening theme song; and music from such Academy Award-winning Lionsgate feature films as “Crash†and “Monster’s Ball.â€
