Think the Facebook movie is a joke? Think again! Writer Aaron Sorkin, of A Few Good Men fame, is developing a screenplay about the hot social network of the moment.
The first and last movie to document the genesis of real-life tech companies was Pirates of Silicon Valley, and that was decades after Apple’s and Microsoft’s foundations. Pardon my skepticism, but a movie about a single pre-profit tech startup, merely five years after its inception, feels like Hollywood chasing another fad. I don’t care if it’s the world’s number one social network right now; it’s no Apple or Microsoft.
At the very least, this movie will be more profitable than Facebook itself.
