Terry Ng of Kineda has put together one of the best list of essential tools for every blogger (especially professional bloggers).
You’ve started your blog and you’re up and running, but do you have the essential tools necessary to be a blogging pro? Here’s a list of tools I personally use that will improve your blogging experience and productivity. Being well equipped will make you a better blogger, and being a better blogger means gaining the respect and affection among your weird and fuzzy blogging peers and readers.
This is a must read resource for any new upstart blogger.

While his tools are nice, that particular set could also be subtitled “Blogging for the rich”. There are a lot of free or cheaper tools that will do the same things as the tools on his list.

There definitely are “cheaper” tools, but cheaper doesn’t necessarily mean better. Although in some cases, it can be.
I’d love to hear any alternatives you have in mind to my list. The more we share about the tools we use, the better bloggers we’ll be!

Terry, you left out the wheels.
When you’re a big-time blogger, every minute away from they keyboard can mean lost pageviews and Technorati ranking. Simply running out for pizza and a can or two of AMP, “the only energy drink that tastes good and doesn’t leave a bad after taste,” can spell disaster.
For my money, the ride of choice for the prospective A-List blogger has got to be the Ferrari F430. Red, of course, with the optional leather-trimmed aluminum roll bar.
Sure, there are cheaper, better-performing vehicles at a fraction of the F430’s $170k price tag. You can get a lot of ponies for the buck from a showroom-stock Corvette or one of those dolled-up Mitsus. But nothing says “Get the hell out of my way — I’ve got a post to write!” like the snarl of the F430’s four race-tuned tailpipes as you downshift into the Domino’s parking lot at 140 miles per hour. Ciao, baby.
Now that puts the “impress” in “WordPress,” doesn’t it? You’ll be back at the keyboard fiddling with your widgets in nothing flat.
Better tools for better blogging! ;-)

LOL. If that’s the case Chris… Then a stock F430 won’t cut it. You’ll need to outfit the whip with a nice bodykit and a set of twin superchargers from our friends at Novitec. Don’t forget a slick set of HRE wheels, because bling is always better. ;)
