A new education portal formally launched today geared towards providing parents high-quality information and resources with respect to the education of their children. Education.com is designed to provide resources for helping children ages pre-school through grade 12.
Education.com offers a variety of resources for parents and educators. These include over 4,000 reference articles from various Web sources, editorial content to help bring learning into a child’s daily life and online communities where parents can connect and share concerns.
Some of the partners providing content to Education.com include NYU Child Study Center, Autism Society of America, National Association for the Education of Young Children, Reading Is Fundamental, Partnership for Learning, National Head Start Association, American School Counselors Association, Nemours Foundation, Stanford University School of Education, LeapFrog and many more. These are joined by experts who will contribute to the site, including: Lisa Medoff Ph.D., Child Psychologist, Patty Wipfler, Founding Director of the parenting non-profit Hand in Hand, and Rae Pica, an expert on how play affects cognitive development.
