Dating site OkCupid.com launches Facebook application

OkCupid.com today announced the availability of a new quiz application on Facebook Platform.
 
The new OkCupid application lets Facebook users add their OkCupid personality type to their Facebook profile. Next week, Facebook users will be able to take any of OkCupid’s 30,000 relationship and lifestyle quizzes and compare their results with their Facebook friends. OkCupid’s quizzes, which cover topics ranging from politics to religion and relationships to rock and roll, have been taken 30,000,000 times.  
 
“We are excited to see that the OkCupid application has achieved exponential growth in such a short period of time,” said Sam Yagan, CEO of OkCupid. “So many people dream about their applications getting ‘viral’; but we have engineered it into our application. The OkCupid application adds meaningful and interesting content to Facebook users’ profiles, but more importantly, Facebook users can’t resist comparing scores with their friends.”
