Immediately following a hearing of ConnectU, Inc. v. Facebook, Inc. in the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts, ConnectU will hold a press conference at the Boston Harbor Hotel.
ConnectU sued Facebook, Inc., Mark Zuckerberg, Dustin Moskovitz, Andrew McCollum, Christopher Hughes and Eduardo Saverin in September 2004, based on its allegations that the idea for the facebook.com website was misappropriated from ConnectU, and that Mark Zuckerberg breached an agreement to complete the ConnectU website (then known as harvardconnection.com) and be a member of its team.
Today, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts will hear oral arguments on Facebook’s and the other defendants’ motions to dismiss parts of the case. ConnectU’s claims include breach of contract, unjust enrichment, trade secret misappropriation, unfair business practices and copyright infringement.
