Siri was THE killer feature of the newly released iPhone 4S and the reactions of millions of Android phone users is quite understandable and actually predictable – they want a Siri counterpart for Android. There are a number of so-called personal digital assistants being offered at the Android store but these apps didn’t gain a lot of popularity. People are still looking for that one app that will go over and become widely accepted. A new contender in th Android space in the field of personal digital assistants is Cluzee.
Cluzee, which is being dubbed as a “talking intelligent personal digital asssostantâ€, is getting a lot of attention since it was released. The app is a free 19Mb download that can be installed on all Android devices running OS 2.1 or higher. According to the developers of Cluzee, the app can discern the natural variations spoken language and can also take various voice recognition commands. Cluzee can perform some of the more mundane tasks we associate with using a smartphone like reading emails aloud, help you reply to text messages and convert voice dictation to text. As additional features, Cluzee has a day planner and a health planner that will help people keep on track with their exercise regimen. It can also be used to access your Twitter and Facebook accounts dictate your updates for automatic posting.
Just like Siri, you can also get shopping and travel recommendations and also find the best deals in your area through Groupon and Yipit.
Cluzee is getting mixed reviews and at this stage of its life, is still a long way away from Siri. But tech bloggers and journalists are saying that it is a decent effort for a newly released app. We’ll see how it will evolve with future updates.
