Not because some online sites make money from sharing dirty videos mean they are allowed to play dirty all the way.
PornoTube, the vulgar clone of popular video sharing site YouTube, is facing a copyright infringement lawsuit filed by a major porn company, Vivid Entertainment Group.
The adult-film producer asserts their porn videos are copied, published, distributed and publicly displayed on PornoTube without their consent or compliance with age verification rules.
To make situation harder for PornoTube, Vivid also asked them to pay $4.5 million for damages caused by the alleged infringement. Also, PornoTube is accused of violating the Child Protection and Obscenity Enforcement Act.
Thanks to Web 2.0 porn videos are spreading like wildfire over the Net. Adult film companies might be feeling the sting of this phenomenon already. Perhaps the recent legal scuffle of YouTube against major Hollywood studios have inspired Vivid to apply the same tactics in the porn industry
