Undertone Networks receives strategic investment from JMI Equity

Premium online advertising network Undertone Networks, a premium online advertising network, has received a strategic investment from JMI Equity, a private equity firm exclusively focused on investments in growing software and business services companies. JMI will work closely with Undertone’s management team to help the company continue to grow, deliver innovative services to its clients and create opportunities for its employees.

As part of the transaction, Brad Woloson, a General Partner at JMI, has joined Undertone’s Board of Directors. ORIX Venture Finance led the financing for the transaction. Terms of the investment were not disclosed.

Reality Digital secures $6.3 million in Series B funding

Reality Digital announced the closing of $6.3 million in its Series B round of venture funding from OpenView Venture Partners. OpenView Venture Partners’ Managing Partner and Senior Managing Director Scott Maxwell and Venture Partner Mark Barry, will join Reality Digital’s Board of Directors.

Reality Digital provides an on-demand platform that enables businesses to add cutting edge video sharing, social media and networking features, as well as business tools to their digital media initiatives. The company’s flagship product, the Reality Digital Opus platform, applies a software-as-a-service (SaaS) delivery model that can be rapidly launched as either a brand new Web environment, or within an existing Web domain to allow users to upload, manage and share digital video, audio and images online. Reality Digital provides companies with the opportunity to establish a dialog and foster a more intimate relationship with their customers. The approach improves brand awareness, user loyalty, customer retention and site “stickiness,” as well as positively affecting advertising revenues. Reality Digital customers include some of the leading players in media, publishing, and online entertainment, including MTV Networks, ITV Local and Lonely Planet.

Bubble Motion closes $14 million in funding

Bubble Motion announced that is has secured $14 million in additional funding from existing investors Sequoia Capital US and Sequoia Capital India, as well as new investors Comcast Interactive Capital and NCD Investors.

This additional funding will allow the company to further develop and expand the award-winning BubbleTALK platform, and will enable the company to focus on securing additional operator partnerships around the world. As part of the financing, Deepak Sindwani, Principal at Comcast Interactive Capital, has joined Bubble Motion’s Board of Directors.

Glassdoor.com raises $3 million funding

Glassdoor Inc., a social networking company focused on employment conditions in the workplace, has raised $3 million in Series B funding led by Benchmark Capital. The company is run by former Hotwire president Robert Hohman, while fellow co-founder Rich Barton serves as chairman. Barton is the CEO of Zillow, and also serves as a venture partner at Benchmark.
