Photobucket, the image sharing website, has over 40 million registered users, with 80,000 new users signing up each day and MySpace wants it for $250 million.
The social networking site proposed the buyout just a few weeks after the two services fell into dispute over advertisements placed on MySpace websites. The row was eventually resolved and an official statement from Photobucket said that the company had established open lines of communication with MySpace to prevent a sudden block of Photobucket content in the future.
“Open lines of communication” must have paved the way for the $250 million offer. What a way to make up and forgive each other.
