T-Mobile inks social networking partnership with Bebo

T-Mobile and Intercasting Corporation announced that they have added social networking sites Bebo and Piczo to T-Mobile’s My Social Sites service. UK users can now stay in touch with their favourite social networking sites with just one click. The My Social Sites application also allows users to upload pictures from their mobile phone direct to the sites.

My Social Sites is a mobile application that provides users with a single and easy to use interface, which allows social networkers to manage their most important sites in a simple way, direct from their mobile phone. Customers who always want to keep on top of what their friends are up to no longer have to worry about constantly checking their favourite sites for updates. Every time anything new is added, T-Mobile will send a message updating the user. People can then check their messages for free, keeping fully up-to-date whilst on the move.

Bebo and Piczo will be added to the existing My Social Sites– Xanga, LiveJournal, BlackPlanet and Vox and mobile community, Rabble.

LimeLife launches women’s lifestyle site for the mobile web

Mobiie media company for women, LimeLife, Inc., announced the launch of its free mobile web destination site at m.limelife.com. LimeLife’s mobile web site features a daily menu of original lifestyle content which mobile users can access via their mobile phones to stay “in the know, on the go” about the latest fashions, music, celebrity news, and games.

This makes LimeLife the first lifestyle media company to establish its consumer brand first on the mobile phone. LimeLife’s content is targeting the young adult “super communicators,” the generation most wedded to their mobile phones.

Personally, I would rather get my content through my computer. I wonder if this is true as well with other women.

CellSpin launches mobile micro-blogging for Twitter and Pownce

CellSpin is now supporting the sending of ‘tweets’ in all four media types (audio, video, pictures and text) to the popular micro-blogging sites Twitter and Pownce.

Users can post multimedia tweets using the CellSpin mobile application or by using the CellSpin website (though if the latter option is the case, then why not just go to Twitter and Pownce’s respective websites).

The software is now available on over 300 mobile phone models worldwide.

Mobile multiplayer gaming market grows from network operators

Multiplayer gaming service providers are preparing the ground for offering true connected gaming through collaborations with device vendors, platform providers, applications developers, and mobile operators. While leading mobile operators already offer real-time multiplayer gaming on their 3G networks, platform providers help applications developers create, offer, and manage multiplayer mobile gaming services. This allows mobile subscribers to choose from a wider array of services.

New analysis from Frost & Sullivan, An Insight into U.S. Mobile Multiplayer Gaming Markets, finds that downloads of all categories of mobile multiplayer games (solo play high score, shadow play, turn-based, and others) expects to exceed 155 million in 2013. However, real-time multiplayer games would be a small percentage of this number.

Multiplayer games also have a huge boost with the extension of popular online social networking communities into mobile. Nevertheless, gaming service providers should be aware that multiplayer mobile games cannot offer the same level of functionality as the console or PC or replace them. Moreover, gamers’ attention span shrinks while gaming on mobile phones.
