The following video is amazing. It’s going to take you about 5 minutes to watch. But since it’s a slow blogging news day. I have been saving it for a few days. It’s truly an amazing video and potentially what could happen in the future. Blogging IMO is just the middle step between old media and future participatory media. Too bad they left Myspace out of this.

The Blog Business Summit is gearing up. I’m excited to see if they do some live blog coverage, or if someone post notes. This is actually one conference I would’nt mind checking out. They have some great folks lined up to speak and there will probably be countless folks there. I will keep you posted if I dig up any notes. The New York Times has uncorked a vintage. That is a blog about wine. It’s written by Eric Asimov. This should be interesting. Suprisingly Eric Asimov has a reputation here amongst restaurant owners. They have even tried to dig up dirt on the good looking chap. Mostly so they could intimidate him in the Gotti fashion. I’m thinking we now have some restaurant owners who are going to be reading his blog every morning to make sure he doesn’t mention that late night wine stop in Little Italy. Who knows. It’s going to be fun ride for Eric and the Times. I can’t wait to see it pour out.

Just internet moments after throwing in the Blog Towel which he also invented Dave Winer, the developer turned thug has fired off his lawyer hounds on one of his developers that helped him get rich with Weblogs.com.

Truthfully, here’s my opinion. Can’t we all just get along? Dave, if you really need 5,000 dollars let’s start a fund where we can paypal you the money and when it hits 5k you will leave the internet ego game forever.

In order to not appear too biased we have Dave’s side of the story too.

Continuing its push into international business markets SixApart along with Bokee, the leading blog hosting company in China, will partner to make it easy for Chinese businesses to communicate with their customers and for employees to communicate internally through blogging. Under an agreement announced today, Bokee will localize and distribute Movable Type, Six Apart’s leading web publishing platform, to Chinese businesses and educational institutions, beginning in the early second quarter of this year.

According to Niall Kennedy the former Technorati developer Bokee laid off reportedly laid off about 1/3 of its workforce the week before Christmas and plans a billion dollar IPO within the year if they are not first bought by Yahoo! or Google for a rumored $200 million.
