I had to pick myself up off the floor to be able to write this one. On occasions when I’ve been too busy to write, I’ve had to outsource content on some of my sites.

Here’s one option to find bloggers for your sites. My preference by far is to just ask around for bloggers, contact people I know, or post an ad over on Craigslist. But I guess this works, too.

The year is coming to an end and the top 10 (or whatever) lists of 2006 are hitting the web like Viagra spam in 2001.

AdAge gives us the top 10 acquisitions of 2006:

Number 1 on the list is a given one, but I’m not sure I agree with the rest. What do you think?

901am.com is growing. No not new staff. Just new folks reading us. Thanks for that. I just want to take some time to share a few cool projects that some of us are working on.

Socially Given is a community blog that donates all its profits to Charity. It’s headed up by our own Muhammad Saleem. I’ve also decided to donate a wee bit of time over their to that great cause.

Thord Hedengren is working hard on Blogger Talks. I really like the site. Thord is obviously a gifted interviewer. It will be great to kick off next year with some podcasts here at 901am. If I can talk him in to doing a few.

Chris Pearson, our secret editorial guru and associate in stealth publishing guru has been banging out SEO for Everybody. Check it out its a real winner of a series.

As for me. I’m just working on 901am and a new acquisition Work Boxers, a place for bloggers to learn how to monetize and flip your websites.

Apparently Wikio is huge in France, a reason as good as any to take a look at the not even close to ready to launch English beta version. Yeah, I know, beta usually means there’s stuff left to do, or it should anyway, Web 2.0 sickness and all that crap.

The idea is to let you choose from various news sources in a bunch of categories, sorry, tags – Web 2.0 again… While most of the site seems to work well enough, the documentation is poor at best.

Google News beware? Somehow a doubt it, but best of luck to the Wikio folks. Who are they by the way? Oops, Pierre Chappaz, the French guy who founded Kelkoo… Maybe should keep an eye on this Wikio thing, he’ll probably sell it to Yahoo or something.

If you thought that Mark Twain was someone you could just leave on the bookshelf to gather dust, think again!

If there has ever been anyone who had something brilliant to say about almost everything, it would be Mark Twain, the artist formerly known as Samuel Langhorne Clemens.

Copyblogger has compiled a list of quotes from Twain and takes a look at how they apply to blogging and blogging success today. Not only that, but the great man may have been among the first to recognize the importance of social media when he remarked:
