What does one do when someone simply copies and pastes an entire post or two or more? Any suggestions?

A few of the copy-pasted posts include one about Bell, and another on The Venice Project. There are links back at the moment, I’m uncertain if they where there when Om posted about it since the blogger in question, claiming to only use the blog for internal purposes by the way, appeared in the comments.

The open directory, DMOZ, is back online after months of problems. Maybe they have been for a while, I’m not sure… Does anyone really care, except the SEO people who want to get more inbound links to pimp the Google juice. Sure, there are directory sites that build upon the Open Directory Project (that’s DMOZ folks) but does it really matter today?

Maybe it does. I didn’t miss the site when it was down though. Did you?

I’ve made an executive decision not to run Google Adsense. Number one it’s not really effective. Number two I don’t like it for this type of project. However, I do have to pay the bills including me spending roughly 4 hours a day or more on this site. And Thord spending roughly something similar in his spare time. I’m looking for 4 sponsors. Most like we will run 4 125 x 125 ad blocks in the sidebar or something of a similar nature. I’m looking for long term advertisers. What do you get?

You may notice a “901am version 1.1” has been unveiled. I personally would like to thank a few people including Chris Pearson, of Pearsonified for his late night work to get this completed. He got this out way ahead of schedule. When I mean way ahead of schedule I mean way ahead. Ok, I blackmailed him. But he got her done. The other person to thank is the person who provided me with the information. :)

Once gaming magazine powerhouses, both Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM) and 1Up are being sold because they have been losing money.

The Game Group pulled in $9 million worth of revenue in the third fiscal quarter of 2006, but still lost half a million dollars overall.

The internet is increasingly replacing the need for printed magazines because of the ability to update the content speedily, more frequently, and best of all for free. Take the example of the latest in-game footage. It makes more sense for this content to be online rather than in a magazine, simply because the minute this content is released, it can be published on thousands of websites, and the user doesn’t have to wait for the next issue of the magazine to come out before he can view it.

Magazines are not just limited by how infrequently they come out, but by physical pages.

But this doesn’t necessarily spell doom for magazines. Read more.
