VUDU Inc., the company that brings to the living room instant access to thousands of hit movies, announced that its set top box is now available for purchase at the company’s online store for $399.
It fulfills the promise created by high-speed broadband Internet to deliver instant access to thousands of movie titles directly on consumers’ televisions. No planning needed, no computer required, no software downloads and no cable TV service or satellite subscription required.
After buying the set top box, consumers will just pay for each movie on an as-you- go basis. There are no subscription or activation fees. Prices for one-time rentals range from $0.99 – $3.99, and prices for purchased movies range from $4.99 – $19.99, depending on the age of the movie.
“VUDU will revolutionize the home movie experience. With top-of-the-line content available at the press of a button, you can now
watch what you want, when you want!” said Tony S. Miranz, Co-founder of VUDU.
With violence and price of gasoline consistently increasing combined with our busy and stressful schedules, VUDU is a cost-effective alternative for many of us. Still, there is no substitute for going out with family and friends to watch movies in the nearby theater.
