TurnHere announces new distribution partners for BookVideos.tv

New distribution relationships include aNobii, Blinkx, Blip.tv, Book Divas, Buy.com, FORA.tv, Goodreads, Lib.rario.us, LibraryThing, Revish, Veoh, Vuze and WhatsOnMyBookshelf.

In addition to introducing new and innovative distribution options for BookVideos.tv, TurnHere also unveiled a brand new customizable widget and enhanced video player for book publishers, which will expand the reach of author videos across the web.

This newly-designed TurnHere widget includes a video player built using the latest ActionScript 3.0 programming language, added commenting options, enhanced author bios and book descriptions, book jacket art and related video links, embed codes, and link and sharing functionality via RSS feeds and email. National Lampoon launches branded channel on YouTube

nationallampoon.jpgNational Lampoon, Inc. announced today that it has launched a National Lampoon video channel on YouTube.

“The new National Lampoon channel on YouTube Video is another step in our progress towards building out the National Lampoon Video Network,” said Daniel Laikin, National Lampoon’s Chief Executive Officer. “Our relationship with YouTube provides another destination for our fans worldwide to view our original comedy content and interact with our programming.”

All of National Lampoon’s new programming will be made available on YouTube through its National Lampoon channel. Initial programming includes National Lampoon’s hugely popular webisodes, which have drawn praise from top critics nationwide, as well as National Lampoon’s SpinCycle mashimations and the Fat Guy Nation series.

AOL completes acquisition of behavioral targeting firm TACODA

aol.jpgAOL announced that it has completed its acquisition of TACODA, a company that specializes in behavioral targeting solutions for advertisers and publishers. AOL originally announced its intention to acquire TACODA on July 24, 2007. TACODA will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of AOL.

Using TACODA’s technology, AOL will be able to extend its targeting capabilities to advertisers and publishers and extend the reach of its third-party display network, currently the largest in the U.S.

TACODA will continue to be based in New York. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Six Apart launches TypePad for iPhone and iPod
