SonicLiving enters into licensing agreement with Pandora

soniclivingConcert discovery service SonicLiving has entered into a licensing agreement with Pandora, the Internet radio service, that will bring SonicLiving’s personalized concert calendars to each of Pandora’s 20 million registered listeners.

SonicLiving connects music fans online and in-person through communities created around the live shows their favorite bands play. Users can purchase concert tickets as well as connect and communicate with friends and other members of the SonicLiving community. The SonicLiving API provides Pandora listeners with localized alerts about upcoming live performances that match the artists they’ve identified in their favorite Pandora radio stations, have given a “Thumbs Up” to or bookmarked. In addition to Pandora, SonicLiving works seamlessly with several other platforms and as a standalone service.

SonicLiving is the only service of its kind to integrate with Pandora.

Mobicip launches kid-safe iPhone browser

Online child safety net provider for mobile devices Mobicip.com has released the Mobicip Kid-Safe Browser, the first “free” browser that protects children from inappropriate web content on the iPhone. Mobicip is compatible with the iPhone, iPhone 3G and iPod Touch. It is free and can be downloaded at the iPhone App Store.

Parents can sign up on mobicip.com/iphone and choose between three predefined levels of filtering based on the age of the child. Mobicip’s unique dynamic content analysis algorithm provides comprehensive protection, unlike URL-based solutions, without affecting the performance of either the device or the browsing experience.

While the current Mobicip application is free, Mobicip will soon be releasing a premium application with more flexible configuration capabilities and supporting multiple platforms for a single subscription.

PeoplePC launches ’25 cents a day’ Internet access

If we can’t have it for free, then this is the next best thing especially in this economy– a 25 cents per day Internet access. PeoplePC, a subsidiary of EarthLink, announced “Connect for Less,” an economy Internet access service designed to help consumers save money and maintain essential Internet connections during difficult economic times.

For $7.95 a month or about 25 cents a day, PeoplePC’s “Connect for Less” offers unlimited dial-up Internet access at a price that is 20 percent less than competitors’ current promotional prices. “Connect for Less” includes free customer support, unlike some other services on the market that charge for technical service after the first 30 days, and with “Connect for Less” there is no minimum commitment requirement.

PeoplePC “Connect for Less” customers will have access to more than 12,000 dial-up numbers nationwide, receive E-mail with spam controls and virus protection, 2 Email addresses and Free Internet Call Waiting.

It’s dial-up, okay. It’s cheap though and that’s all what we need.
