Paltalk enters content space

paltalk.jpgPaltalk announced the launch of several original series produced for the company’s newly released interactive video platform, PaltalkScene. Three new shows will debut beginning this week; Hollywood Now with Joanne Colan, a celebrity talk show hosted by the Rocketboom notable; MusicScene, featuring live performances and interviews with the latest and hottest musical artists; and the political and social issue interactive debate, Provocation Hall – with more programming slated to launch later this Fall.

Initial featured guests for the company’s new lineup of shows include: R&B sensation JoJo, members of the cast of the hit television series, Heroes, professional dancers from Dancing with the Stars, actress and singer/songwriter Taryn Manning, as well as Entourage’s Rex Lee. Paltalk’s new programs will offer first-of-its-kind interactive and participatory user experience, rather than passive, online viewing. Users not only watch both the live shows and pre-recorded clips in Screening Rooms, but are also encouraged to interact with the guests, hosts and other viewers in real-time through voice, video and text chat as the show airs.

Hollyscoop.com and NowLive.com to make broadcast history with Emmy live online coverage

HandHeld Entertainment launches ZVUE Networks

Kid-friendly browsers to protect kids online to hit retail shelves

shrekbrowser1.jpgChildren’s Educational Network (CEN) announced today that it has signed a long-term exclusive retail distribution agreement with KOCH Entertainment Distribution (KOCH), to market CEN’s kid friendly browsers to retail outlets nationwide. The first product to be offered will be the “Shrek Browser for Kids.” The Shrek Browser for Kids will be followed by Noah’s Internet, designed for the faith-based markets and other branded kid friendly Browsers to be announced in the future.

With CEN’s Kid Friendly Internet browsers, children can have fun online while avoiding hate, violence, pornography, and online predators. Their parental controlled browsers allow children to access only pre-approved and pre-screened child-appropriate web sites.

Parents can add or subtract sites from the pre-approved list, to create a tailored “Include List,” customized for each child (more effective than filters alone or creating “blacklists”). Multiple child accounts can be created, each with different settings, giving the parent control over which sites their children can visit on the Internet.
