Attendi (pronounced “attendee”) is the world’s first search engine that searches people and not Web pages.
It is a new type of search engine that allows its users to interact with each other while indexing the valuable database of human insight and life experience.
Rather than searching and indexing Web content, Attendi captures the life experience of users and makes it accessible to others. A smart combination of search, social networking and live chat, Attendi gathers content simply by using conversation.
Users – called “Attendis” – can use chat functionality to have real-time conversations with those who share similar interests, hobbies, passions and expertise. Attendi then archives and delivers these conversations as relevant search results to benefit other users.
“We understand that we are building something very ambitious, and it will take some time to scale the user base, but there is simply nothing on the market that delivers on what Attendi promises. Our goal is simple — index our collective life experience and make it searchable for the benefit of everyone. Over time, Attendi will become a living ultra-blog of human experience,” said Attendi founder and CEO Drew Rayman.
