Sometimes you just wish your life was easier. And when I talk about life at the moment. I’m speaking about your life online. Building successful websites. Overtime I’ve gotten pretty accustomed to building pretty much all of my websites in the kickass CMS known as WordPress.
I’ve found a few hacks lately that have really helped. Chris Pearson points us to one. The XHTML Sitemap Plugin that he’s created:
As a Webmaster, one of the things you always need to be aware of is how well your the pages of your site are interlinked. This is a crucial factor in overall search engine performance, and simply assuming that your architecture is robust enough to handle this is definitely not the route you want to take.
Over time, you will likely accumulate tons of pages, and as this happens, the odds of certain pages getting buried to the point of becoming nearly inaccessible tend to go up.
To combat this, you can generate an XHTML sitemap that contains links to every page of your site.
This plugin is known to help interlink your site and help users and search engines find ALL OF YOUR ARTICLES.
Secondarily, some more great hacks can be found over at Tubetorial if you have never been there. They have a great tutorial series called 7 Essential WordPress Hacks.

Chris’ WordPress Hacks are fantastic. I just found his site last week, and have quickly become a fan. Being new to WordPress myself, I’ve found his tips and his advice on his threads a real benefit and confidence builder. Highly recommended!
