PayPerPost is a controversial advertising service that pays bloggers per post for positive words about advertising companies, products and services. When the service was launched in early 2006 it got quite a reception from the blogosphere and print media, being seen as a condemning concept to blogs in the mainstream reader’s eyes.
One of the major problems with PayPerPost is the lack of transparency. Until December 18, 2006, bloggers where not needed to post a disclosure policy at all.
PayPerPost was founded by Ted Murphy.
